A Busier Day

I missed breakfast to allow LanLan to sleep in. I think it helped because when she woke at a quarter to eight she was drenched in sweat from her fever breaking. I made some oatmeal and we made our way to corporate intercession. When that was over we had some time with another couple on the team for personal sharing and interceeding together. As soon as that was over we went on a city tour of NanKang.

LSV is actually located in NanKang, a suburb of Beihai. NanKang is a very small village of 60,000 people. (Qingdao is about 8 million and Beijing has around 22 million.)

We had lunch and rest time followed by a tour of LSV. We then met together as a full team to plan for next week's camp. Our team consists of five families, 10 parents, 18 kids (ranging in age of 3 months to 12 years) and one teenager who came on her own. All the families are American but our family our the only caucasions. One family is Korean-American and they don't speak any Chinese but all the other families have at least one adult that can. All the families seem great and we really look forward to working with them and getting to know them better.

After dinner each evening we spend about a half hour in what is called "evening sacrifice". During this time we just sit and listen to worship music, a time we can reflect on the day and just be in His presence.

It's now bed time and after a quick shower to cool off the kids are trying to drift off to sleep. It was a full day.
